Furball Roadmap: From Imports to Data Orchestration
Understand what works today and what is planned next
Overview
Furball is evolving towards a broader data orchestration platform: a place to bring data together, apply consistent rules and keep teams in control of how it reaches HubSpot.
The items below are planned, not a statement of general availability or a delivery-date commitment. Scope and priorities may change. Confirm availability with Cat Media before making a business process depend on a planned feature.
What works today
- Data Ingestion Studio prepares and reviews CSV and XLSX files, with import-ready downloads and supported automated HubSpot ingestion.
- Studio matching can find existing companies without relying on a domain. Contact matching uses record IDs or email addresses; discovery from a contact name alone is not a documented capability.
- The Furball app at app.furball.tech provides CRM audits, contact and company duplicate review, matching settings, standardisation and property reference tools.
- Cat Media can provide managed imports and integration expertise alongside the product. A custom integration service is not the same as a built-in Studio connector.
Planned Studio capabilities
API data sources
Bring source data into the Studio directly from other systems' APIs, extending the current file-based preparation and validation process. Today, obtain a CSV or Excel export from the source system.
Scheduled jobs
Run recurring ingestion on a schedule rather than starting each upload manually. API inputs and scheduling are key steps towards fuller orchestration, not features to assume are already active.
Import templates
Recognise a type of incoming file and apply the right configuration, or suggest it for review. Saved portal defaults already provide a starting point, but automatic file-type recognition and reusable import templates are planned.
Delta imports
Identify and process rows added since the previous run. Growing on-demand webinar attendance files are a useful example. Today, the manual Process rows after option requires your team to choose the cutoff; it does not automatically track new rows.
Wider object support
Extend coverage towards the objects supported by HubSpot's import tool, including custom objects. Do not treat broader HubSpot object support as already available in the Studio.
Automated custom events
Create custom events and deliver or update their occurrences automatically. Today, contact custom-event occurrences are prepared as files. The existing marketing-event workflow is a separate capability.
Governance rollout
Introduce restricted roles, separate approval for downloads or HubSpot writes, enforced defaults for non-admins, and general defaults that can be applied to selected portals after a second confirmation.
These controls are being prepared for rollout. Confirm that they are enabled in your workspace before relying on an approval policy or enforced setting.
How to plan around the roadmap
Use a guided or managed file-based workflow now to validate record identities, mappings and business rules. That work can inform a later integration without committing your team to an API build before the data model is understood.
What to do next
Tell Cat Media which sources, recurrence patterns, approval needs and business outcomes matter to your team. Use the current workflow guides for operational instructions, and revisit this roadmap when planning future capabilities.
